1. What project do you think taught you the most this semester? Well I learned the most about Excel, because I had no knowledge to excel prior to this class.
2. How do you like blogging? Do you plan to continue with your blog eventhough I'm not going to be posting topics for you to blog about? I actually really like it, it is way more fun than regular journal topics, but I doubt I will continue to do it if im being completely honest.
3. What did you learn from the Coffee Geek Squad project? What changes do I need to make? It helps to get a better feeling of what a job would be like if you have never had a job.
4. Did the snacks that I brought influence you to do your work and behave appropriately (better work ethic = higher paycheck)?YES! mostly because I love food :)
5.Career/Future Visitors: Was it helpful for these individuals to visit and talk about your future goals? Would you rather just read about careers online? It was helpful, I learned a lot about being in the army that I didn't know and have always wondered.
6. Any other comments? I'm ready to eat!

Honesty, I would rather get a giftcard. Only because nothing fits my the same way, or I just have my own certain style i'd like to think and i can be very picky with thigns. But on the other hand my closest friends know what I like and have bought me some awesome gifts in the past! So I think idf you know the person well then you should buy a gift and if not you can never go wrong with a giftcard!
CHS Chorus Christmas Concert
I was in Mississippi, so of course I didn't get to see it. Actually I have never seen any kind of concert put on by chorus. I have always wanted to, and was going to go to this one. I will definitely have to go see it during the spring. :)
Christmas song :)
My favorite Christmas song is all I want for christmas is you by Mariah Carey. Her Christmas CD is amazing! And it is def. my absolute favorite.
Skycar.
The skycar is definitely amaing, and if it was to become the car of the future i think it would be in a very long, long time. Especially with the economy as low as it is, no one can afford it. :)

SHOPPINGGG.
One thing I do well is--shop--I guess im genetically forced to like shhopping since I am female and everyone in my family is female, besides my dad. Christmas time shopping is one of my favorites. Whether its for me or for anyone else, i LOVE to make people hapy and spending time lookingg for someone the perfect gift and then seeing them so happy makes me feel good. Like Janis, for instance, I'm going to buy her the first season of the OC, and my friend alysha im taking her to go get her nails done, my sister wants Jewelry. In the past my parents have given me money to buy my friends gifts, but being that i now havee a job its all up to me, i have to spend my money wisely and all because i have a speeding ticket that has to be paid, ha!

Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for many things, for family, for friends, for my health. I didn't get to see my extended family this year, they all live too far away, and my parents couldn't take off work this year but I still had a good Thanksgiving. I got to see many friends that are in college and were home for the holidays which was really fun. But I got a speeding ticket, which sucks! I have a court date, and I really hope they don't take my license away.
On average, girls are losing their virginity at 15 years of age.
14 percent of teens who are having sex say they’re doing it at school.
52 percent of survey respondents say they do not use protection when having sex.
One in three says she fears having a sexually transmitted disease.
24 percent of teens with STDs say they still have unprotected sex.
One in five girls says she wants to be a teen mom.
About 50 percent acknowledge that they’ve hit someone.
One out of three teens has tried drugs.
Going to CHS I definitely believe these findings, Kids are trying to grow up to fast, and do things they are not ready to do. It's sad to me how corrupt thhis wold is.

passwords.
I think it is stupid to give away your password to people. Because there are some hateful people in this world and they can do some very mean, and ugly things. I'm pretty sure the only person who knows my password besides me is my friend alysha, and we have been friends for 8 years, are familys are friends. i know she would never do anything mean towards me.

Friday
Friday night I didn't go to the game, I had to work. Everyone at dq are big trojan fans, so we always have the game playing really loud in the back, so I heard the whole game. I was excited we won, and I hope we win this week. :)

Salon
If I was to open my own business it would definitely be a salon. I'm sure you've noticed that I dye my hair a lot, and thats because I love the smell and the chance of making my hair into something beautiful and different. I have had all sorts of dye jobs, highlights, cuts, and it's so much fun. Sometimes I do it myself but if its something complicated I get it done. Hair is definitely my passion, and owning a salon would be a lot of fun. But cosmetology does not make enough money, and I think I could get tired of it easily. That is why for now my future plans are still for teaching.

Triplets.+
This is an amazing story. It's so uncommon for a 56 year old woman to give birth, and its highly uncommon for a 56 year old woman to be a surrogate and give birth to triplets! I'm glad they are all three doing well!
Veterans
Veterans day is an important day because it honors the many americans who have served in wars, or in any branch of military. And it also honors the millions of americans who have died trying to protect their country.

Statesboro
This weekend me, Alysha, Allison, and Taryn's mom went to Statesboro to see my friend Taryn. I had so much fun. We left saturday at like 8:30 and as soon as we got there we went to the game. GSU played stanford, and lost their homecoming game, it was funny. Then we went shopping, at the "small" small mall. We went and ate sushi and then went to Applebees we were starving. Then we went back to Taryn's apartment and Taryn invited a ton of people over, and we all drank Monster's all night and played games, like taboo, and apples to apples. We went to the next building to Taryn's friends apartment too, we ended up having a huge sleepover with a ton of people and not going to bed until 6 in the morning. We woke up at 10 Sunday and went to eat and then came back home. I had to work and had only 4 hours of sleep, so I was a bit cranky. It was fun though:)

When I'm 50:)
When I'm 50 I hope to be still teaching, maybe going to retire in a couple of years. I hope to have children and granchildren, and to have a husband who has loved me since the first day we met. I hope to live in a cute house maybe in Savannah or Jacksonville, Florida. And to still be very close to my sisters.

Voting.
We have been studying voting and apportionment in my math class, and studied the different types of voting and why certain types didn't work in the past. So is electoral vote fair? I don't know it must be more fair than the others, or we would have kept them.

rambles from ashley
This weekend was pretty lame. My parents were gone, and my sisters so Janis stayed with me teo whole weekend. But I had to work Friday, and Saturday. And Janis had to work Friday and Sunday so we pretty much had a boring weekend. But this weekend I'm going to see my friend Taryn in Statesboro and it's going to be soooo much fun, I'm super excited. We're going to a football game, and going to eat japanese, and I'm staying in her Apartment. :)

Costumes!
Personally, I LOVE dressing in costumes, so naturally Halloween is very fun to me. I will probably always dress up on Halloween no matter how old I am. I have had many Halloween costumes over the years, Angels, Beauty Queens, Witches, Princesses, Pumpkins...and many more. This year was my favorite costume by far, but I don't get to wear it because I have to work tonight, which makes me sad. This year I decided to be a Hooters girl. My friends sister used to be one so I borrowed the uniform from him. It looks so funny on! I have the orange shorts, white tank top, and the little apron/straw holder thing to tie around my waist. I was going to by hose, and socks to finish the costume, but since I didn't get to this year, I will just have to wear it next year. :)

Haunted House

1. Netherworld - Atlanta, Georgia
Netherworld is truly an awe-inspiring haunted house. They deserve particular credit because, though they buy standard animatronics and such, they then take them and re-create and re-invent them to make everything truly unique to their haunted house. They also have arguably the best make-up team in the industry. It would be hard to tell one of their fake dead apart from a real dead person.
this haunted house is the one i would want to go to, not only would it scare the bejeezus out of me, but it's also close to home. well only about 3 hours away. :)
Superstitions
I'm not superstitious at all, I don't believe in it. But I know that many people do.
ORIGIN:
Before the invention of mirrors, man gazed at his reflection, his "other self," in pools, ponds, and lakes. If the image was distorted, it was a mark of impending disaster. The "unbreakable" metal mirrors of the early Egyptians and Greeks were valued items because of their magical properties. After glass mirrors were introduced, it was the Romans who tagged the broken mirror a sign of bad luck. The length of the prescribed misfortune, 7 years, came from the Roman belief that man's body was physically rejuvenated every 7 years, and he became, in effect, a new man.

Long life!
Well if all those things equal a long life, I will have a pretty long one. My legs are pretty strong, i used to exercise a lot. I need to start back going to the gym. My mom had me young, she was 20 years old. And I looooooooove blueberries, they are probably my favorite fruit, or I guess you would say my favorite berry. :) The only thing that won't prolong my life, from that list, is the sodas. I'm a soda addict, for sure. I drink sodas everyday, I know it isn't the healthiest thing in the world, but can't help it.

Sundays At DQ
Sundays are the busiest days at Dairy Queen, right around after church in the morning and evening. It's so hectic, and stressful. Yesterday was the first time I worked a full Sunday shift, and I hated it. Everyone working told me that it wasn't even busy compared to summer Sundays. Which is a very scary thought. It's so difficult making 5 ice creams, and trying to remember what they wanted on this sundae and what they didn't want on another, while at the same time going to go look for sundae cups because they ran out at the front. And While making ice cream everyone else is running around like a chicken with its head cut off and doing the same thing as you, and bumping into each other. One time I ran into a girl working, and she spilled Blue Raspberry Artic Rush everywhere. It's definitely my least favorite day to work, and I don't look forward to working more Sunday's.

Wiki
wi·ki
(wÄk'Ä“) n. pl. wi·kis
A collaborative website whose content can be edited by anyone who has access to it.
A wiki allows anyone to edit, or delete content that has been placed on this site, even other authors work. It has been found to work very well, surprisingly, since contributors seem to be more persistent than vandals. It helps because when you find info on the Internet that you know is incorrect you can quickly, click Edit, and fix it.

Compliments
The best compliment I've ever recieved? Well I'm not sure, I mean ever in my life, that's a lot of compliments. I've had a ton of compliments when people are like i love your shirt, you look cute today, etc. But one really nice one I remember was this girl at work monday told me that I have the prettiest eyes, and lips. Which I found to be really nice.

People These Days
When I hear things like this, it makes me mad. Police should be worried with more important things, instead of a kids football. A football costs what a couple of dollars? I'm sure that kids dad can buy him another. And I hardly doubt that woman just took it because it landed in her yard, he could have been harassing her, throwing it in her yard on purpose. She was 86, she is old and senile, she shouldn't be charged with petty theft over something so stupid.

Last Night
I didn't watch the last debate last night, I was working, and didn't get home until 10:30. I probably wouldn't have watched it anyways mainly because I won't be 18 until April so I don't get to vote this year. I'm not saying I don't have an interest in what is going on, but since I don't get to vote I just don't see the point.

Dairy Queen
I recently got my first part-time job, working at Dairy Queen. And even though my workload at school is very light i have discovered having a job, and going to school can be exhausting, I take as many naps as possible :). I usually work 3-4 days a week, and work 5 hours on weekdays and 6 hours on weekends. Dairy Queen is a particularly easy job. Making ice cream is really easy, and the cash register is also easy, it just takes some familiarizing. I'm super excited because I get my first paycheck today. I have worked 18 hours, so after school I'm going to get it, and then go set up a bank account at Ameris.

I didn't watch the debate but Blaine told me about it. She said McCain was more excited than he usually is, and Obama was more calm, and laid back. She also told me that they talked a lot about the financial Crisis.

One of my goals was to do really well on the SAT this month, and I have taken it, but I haven't recieved my scores yet, I think I did pretty good, but I guess I won't know until I get my scores back. Another goal I had, that I didn't put on the list, was to get a job. And I worked for the first time last night, I am proud of myself for getting a job, finally! My grades are pretty good. I know I have A's in my electives, and hopefully I have A's in Math, and Lit. I hope to keep my grades up, and not to get senioritis.

Hershey's Candy Corn Candies
I love, love, LOVE chocolate, it doesn't matter what kind, milk, dark, or even white is so delicious. Another thing I love around Halloween is Candy Corn, so I'm pretty sure I will love the Hershey Candy Corn candy. As soon as I get a job I will go get some from Wal Mart.

Bailout Plan
I don't watch the news so this is the first i have heard about this bailout plan, but I have heard of the stock gauge, because of my parents talking about it. I don't know hardly anything about the bailout plan, so I have no idea what will happen. But from what I have heard the bailout plan does sound like a good plan.

My Weekend
Friday night I babysat for my preacher, him and his wife went to the movies to see fireproof. They have 3 boys, and I played legos with them almost all night. Saturday day was pretty boring, I just sat around all day and got on the computer. Then that night my sister, Emily and I went and ate at Zaxby's. Then I brought them home and I went to the movies with some friends and watched Nights in Rodanthe, it was SO sad, and good. And then my friend spent the night with me. Sunday I went to church, and then Sunday night my family and I went to go see Fireproof at the movies, it was very, very good. It was a good weekend.

Sleep
I usually go to bed around 11. But many times, like last night I go to bed later around 12 and sometimes even 1. It just depends on how much homework I have, and if I'm talking on the phone. I love going to bed early. Three times last week I went to bed at 9. If I go to sleep around 12 or 1, it's harder for me to wake up. My schoolwork isn't affected, it just causes me to oversleep and hurry to get dressed, or be late.

Army
It was interesting to learn about the army, because I learned many things I didn't know before. And I think it is a good idea for some people. But they were saying the army offered every job except for one--Teaching. Which is what I want to do. I probably wouldn't have joined anyways though, the army just isn't for me. The reserves is a good idea too, but I am getting the Hope Scholarship, and hopefully some other scholarships that I am applying to.

Drinking Age
I honestly don't know, I can see many disadvantages, and some advantages. If the drinking age was lowered to 18, younger kids will have access to alcohol. You are usually a senior when you're 18, so more sophomores and juniors, or whoever can have access to it much easier because their friends can buy it. It may cause more teenage deaths, with car accidents, or alcohol poisoning. But it may not appeal to so many people in the age group 18-20 because its legal now. And also in most tings you are considered an adult at 18, so it makes since to also have the drinking age at 18. You can vote, serve in military, buy cigarettes, buy lottery tickets, and even get into some clubs. So if you can do all that, why not be able to drink?

Quote
"Even if you are not on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there."
To me, this quote means that you have to try, and actually do something rather than sit around expecting something to happen or change. You can't just sit around and expect to pass a class, you have to study, and actually do something.

Speaker
I enjoyed the speaker very much. I will be going off to college in less than a year and I haven't decided which college I'm going to for sure. So it is always interesting to hear people talk about colleges. I learned some new things about the finance part of college. I think having speakers in here is a very good idea, and could potentially help someone in here decide where to go to school next year.

followed.
I could never be followed around by secret service. It would make me so mad, even if it was for my protection. Having them follow you around all the time, must be so annoying. It's like having your parents with you all the time, which i definitely couldn't handle.

Man's Best Friend
I think that it is amazing that a dog can call 911 when their owner is having a seizure. Dogs are definitely pretty smart, and can be life savers. I have four cats. And i'm pretty sure none of them could do that.

Homecoming Week
My homecoming week was very fun, yet extremely busy. I had things to do all week to get ready for homecoming activities. I went to the pep rally, parade, game, and dance. The game was really good Friday. Over all the dances, this was by far my favorite. It started off very bad, but ended amazingly. Which i'm glad it turned out so well, because after all this is my last homecoming dance.

All You Need is Love!
It's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all. ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson.
I agree with this quote 100%. Life without love is quite meaningless if you ask me. Love is one of the best feelings ever, and everyone should experience. Yes losing someone you love hurts, but at least you experienced the great feeling of love at one time in your life. And just to feel love for someone, or to be loved by someone is worth all the hurt of losing them.

Abandoned Baby
Whenever I hear things like this, it makes me so sad. I definitely think its wrong for someone to just leave a newborn in a toilet. I imagine the mother didn't want the baby and left it in a public place so someone would find it, or maybe the mother couldn't take care of it for whatever reason. But it was still completely wrong, the mother could have given the baby up for adoption if she didn't want it, or couldn't take care of it, Or let someone in her family take care of it.

Mtv Music Awards
I didn't watch the MTV music awards Sunday, I didn't even know it was Sunday. I used to watch TV all the time, but I never do anymore. There are a few shoes I like, for example: The Young and The Restless, House, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. And if I have enough time I watch those shows, even when I do watch those shows the are usually recorded and I watch them like a week later then they originally aired. I love to read, and thats what i usually do in my spare time.

Substitutes.
I think that the fact that our teacher's can't get a substitute because of our budget, is absolutely ridiculous. This is definitely going to affect teachers because now they will feel as you did, that they shouldn't stay home and then we will have sick teachers at school. In my opinion if a teacher is sic, they shouldn't be at school. If a teacher is sick, they may not be in such a good mood, they may not be able to perform as well as they could be, or they could even get germs into the air and get a student sick. Nothing about this policy makes sense.

Blogging is pretty cool. In this class it's like a journal topic, only more fun because you get to type it, and use a computer. I like to get my ideas down, and blogging is a good way to do that.

Pet Peeves
- One of my pet peeves is people beating on tables, it gets on my nerves a lot!
- Another pet peeve of mine is when i eat with someone, and they eat with their mouth open, and you can see the food rolling around in their mouth, so nasty.
- One of my biggest pet peeves is when people ask 'What?' a million times, and i have to repeat myself. I don't mind repeating myself once, or maybe even twice but any more than that is just annoying.

Palin
I'm glad that McCain chose a female for his Vice President, and I do think that some of the Hilary Clinton voters will now be drawn to vote for McCain because Palin is Female. Palin seems like a good choice for VP, and I am looking forward to hear what she has to say at the Republican Conference. But it upsets me that people are bringing up her daughters pregnancy, that has nothing what-so-ever to do with politics. The news are even showing pictures of her daughters boyfriend, who got her pregnant, it's so ridiculous. Her daughters mistakes, or irresponsibility has nothing to do with Palin becoming the next VP.

Teen Pregnancy
I have definitely noticed teen pregnancy rising, It seems like every year more, and more teens are becoming pregnant. I don't think it's peer pressure at all. And I definitely don't think it's planned, because most teenagers worst fear is becoming a parent. I think the problem is that most teens are irresponsible, and don't think about the consequences of sex.

Everything we have done on Excel, is pretty mush new for me. I have never had a computer class, or worked with Excel before. I am glad that I am learning Excel though because I know it will be good to know for the future. I have seen my parents use it many times, So I'm sure I will.

4 day weekend.
Saturday night my friends Alysha, Emily, and Janis spent the night with me, and sunday we got up and ate a huge breakfast and hung out. Everyone had to leave early excpet for Alysha. And when we found out sunday that we wouldn't have school monday we were thrilled! I told my mom, and she didn't believe me. So she called Matt Rivers and asked him to ask his grandma, Dr. Rivers, and when he did she accpeted that we didn't have school. So my sister, and I spent the night at Alysha's house. That night we went to the movies and saw Mirrors, I didn't like it. It wasn't scary, and was a bit boring. Then monday morning we slept in until 2:30, and then went to town with Chris. Chris had to get his hair cut so me and Alysha went to J&D design down the road, and hung out with our youth pastor, he works there. Then Chris bought us McDonalds. Tuesday i ate Zaxbys with Alysha and watched Black Hawk Down with her, Chris, and Cody. All together it was a good weekend.

Fay
I don't watch the news much but from what i saw this morning the Tropical Storm Fay seems pretty bad. Hopefully it will calm down soon, and not hurt anyone like a few hurricanes have done in the past. I don't have any family members or friends in Florida, Thank God. My family lives in Mississippi and have already lost a home due to a hurricane, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that.

Future Now
I thought that the Future Now Assembly was good. I think what they had to say was importnat and that a ton of people in Coffee County need to hear it. I'm sure some people thought it was dumb, but I liked it. If everyone did what they were talking about like staying in shcool, not doing drugs, not stealing the world would be a much better place. I went to Future Now at night too and that was more about God and about you surrendering your life to him, and a lot of people listened and I think put there faith in God's hands so I am definitely glad we had it at our school.

Monday & Tuesday
I thought the class behaved pretty well, there was a little bit of talking, but i think that is to be expected. It seemed to me that everyone got there work done both days. I finished mine both days and still had time left in class. Our substitute was very nice, told us what to do, and let us do it.

Cheating:(
I think that cheating is completely wrong. Cheating in any situation is always wrong. It's unfair to yourself, and others. If you study all night long for a test and your classmate writes it on his hand and makes a better grade than you it isn't very fair, now is it? Or imagine if you had a doctor who cheated all through out college and had no idea what he was doing, that would be pretty scary. And if you cheat in school you aren't learning anything, so if you aren't even learning why come to school at all?

I have never watched the Olympics. So I'm not very up to date or in the know with what is happening there in China. I have heard a little about the man from China who killed Americans and I definitely think it will affect our relationship with China. And it is pretty obvious we shouldn't have held the Olympics there.
