Bailout Plan
I don't watch the news so this is the first i have heard about this bailout plan, but I have heard of the stock gauge, because of my parents talking about it. I don't know hardly anything about the bailout plan, so I have no idea what will happen. But from what I have heard the bailout plan does sound like a good plan.

My Weekend
Friday night I babysat for my preacher, him and his wife went to the movies to see fireproof. They have 3 boys, and I played legos with them almost all night. Saturday day was pretty boring, I just sat around all day and got on the computer. Then that night my sister, Emily and I went and ate at Zaxby's. Then I brought them home and I went to the movies with some friends and watched Nights in Rodanthe, it was SO sad, and good. And then my friend spent the night with me. Sunday I went to church, and then Sunday night my family and I went to go see Fireproof at the movies, it was very, very good. It was a good weekend.

Sleep
I usually go to bed around 11. But many times, like last night I go to bed later around 12 and sometimes even 1. It just depends on how much homework I have, and if I'm talking on the phone. I love going to bed early. Three times last week I went to bed at 9. If I go to sleep around 12 or 1, it's harder for me to wake up. My schoolwork isn't affected, it just causes me to oversleep and hurry to get dressed, or be late.

Army
It was interesting to learn about the army, because I learned many things I didn't know before. And I think it is a good idea for some people. But they were saying the army offered every job except for one--Teaching. Which is what I want to do. I probably wouldn't have joined anyways though, the army just isn't for me. The reserves is a good idea too, but I am getting the Hope Scholarship, and hopefully some other scholarships that I am applying to.

Drinking Age
I honestly don't know, I can see many disadvantages, and some advantages. If the drinking age was lowered to 18, younger kids will have access to alcohol. You are usually a senior when you're 18, so more sophomores and juniors, or whoever can have access to it much easier because their friends can buy it. It may cause more teenage deaths, with car accidents, or alcohol poisoning. But it may not appeal to so many people in the age group 18-20 because its legal now. And also in most tings you are considered an adult at 18, so it makes since to also have the drinking age at 18. You can vote, serve in military, buy cigarettes, buy lottery tickets, and even get into some clubs. So if you can do all that, why not be able to drink?

Quote
"Even if you are not on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there."
To me, this quote means that you have to try, and actually do something rather than sit around expecting something to happen or change. You can't just sit around and expect to pass a class, you have to study, and actually do something.

Speaker
I enjoyed the speaker very much. I will be going off to college in less than a year and I haven't decided which college I'm going to for sure. So it is always interesting to hear people talk about colleges. I learned some new things about the finance part of college. I think having speakers in here is a very good idea, and could potentially help someone in here decide where to go to school next year.

followed.
I could never be followed around by secret service. It would make me so mad, even if it was for my protection. Having them follow you around all the time, must be so annoying. It's like having your parents with you all the time, which i definitely couldn't handle.

Man's Best Friend
I think that it is amazing that a dog can call 911 when their owner is having a seizure. Dogs are definitely pretty smart, and can be life savers. I have four cats. And i'm pretty sure none of them could do that.

Homecoming Week
My homecoming week was very fun, yet extremely busy. I had things to do all week to get ready for homecoming activities. I went to the pep rally, parade, game, and dance. The game was really good Friday. Over all the dances, this was by far my favorite. It started off very bad, but ended amazingly. Which i'm glad it turned out so well, because after all this is my last homecoming dance.

All You Need is Love!
It's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all. ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson.
I agree with this quote 100%. Life without love is quite meaningless if you ask me. Love is one of the best feelings ever, and everyone should experience. Yes losing someone you love hurts, but at least you experienced the great feeling of love at one time in your life. And just to feel love for someone, or to be loved by someone is worth all the hurt of losing them.

Abandoned Baby
Whenever I hear things like this, it makes me so sad. I definitely think its wrong for someone to just leave a newborn in a toilet. I imagine the mother didn't want the baby and left it in a public place so someone would find it, or maybe the mother couldn't take care of it for whatever reason. But it was still completely wrong, the mother could have given the baby up for adoption if she didn't want it, or couldn't take care of it, Or let someone in her family take care of it.

Mtv Music Awards
I didn't watch the MTV music awards Sunday, I didn't even know it was Sunday. I used to watch TV all the time, but I never do anymore. There are a few shoes I like, for example: The Young and The Restless, House, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. And if I have enough time I watch those shows, even when I do watch those shows the are usually recorded and I watch them like a week later then they originally aired. I love to read, and thats what i usually do in my spare time.

Substitutes.
I think that the fact that our teacher's can't get a substitute because of our budget, is absolutely ridiculous. This is definitely going to affect teachers because now they will feel as you did, that they shouldn't stay home and then we will have sick teachers at school. In my opinion if a teacher is sic, they shouldn't be at school. If a teacher is sick, they may not be in such a good mood, they may not be able to perform as well as they could be, or they could even get germs into the air and get a student sick. Nothing about this policy makes sense.

Blogging.
Blogging is pretty cool. In this class it's like a journal topic, only more fun because you get to type it, and use a computer. I like to get my ideas down, and blogging is a good way to do that.

Pet Peeves
- One of my pet peeves is people beating on tables, it gets on my nerves a lot!
- Another pet peeve of mine is when i eat with someone, and they eat with their mouth open, and you can see the food rolling around in their mouth, so nasty.
- One of my biggest pet peeves is when people ask 'What?' a million times, and i have to repeat myself. I don't mind repeating myself once, or maybe even twice but any more than that is just annoying.

Palin
I'm glad that McCain chose a female for his Vice President, and I do think that some of the Hilary Clinton voters will now be drawn to vote for McCain because Palin is Female. Palin seems like a good choice for VP, and I am looking forward to hear what she has to say at the Republican Conference. But it upsets me that people are bringing up her daughters pregnancy, that has nothing what-so-ever to do with politics. The news are even showing pictures of her daughters boyfriend, who got her pregnant, it's so ridiculous. Her daughters mistakes, or irresponsibility has nothing to do with Palin becoming the next VP.

Teen Pregnancy
I have definitely noticed teen pregnancy rising, It seems like every year more, and more teens are becoming pregnant. I don't think it's peer pressure at all. And I definitely don't think it's planned, because most teenagers worst fear is becoming a parent. I think the problem is that most teens are irresponsible, and don't think about the consequences of sex.
